South Worcestershire Lifesaving and Lifeguard Club is a growing and successful voluntary club based at Pershore Leisure Centre.

We encourage members of all ages to:-

  • develop water safety and lifesaving skills
  • improve and compete in lifesaving as a sport
  • and support our aquatic rescue service at local events

New members are always welcome (with a waiting list for juniors).

Rookie Gala is for 8-14 year olds (Silver 1 or above) using skills from the Rookie Syllabus to compete against other local clubs.

Big Lottery Funding

Big LotteryIn January 2016, members of South Worcester Flood Rescue Unit commenced their training to become Lowland Search and Rescue Technicians. The additional skills gained on this course will not only enhance their water search and rescue skills but will provide them with a recognised qualification in terrestrial search. Having gained this valuable qualification these team members will now be able to assist the blue services in their communities when lowland searches are required for missing persons, therefore enhancing their ability to serve their community. ...more
